Notes
For Macs and PCs, you need itunes (available for free from apple at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/, runs on macs and pcs). You can view/listen to podcasts from itunes (it is the podcast organizer for sending to ipods anyway). Note that you need version 6.0.2 or better of itunes. If you have an older version of itunes, you'll have to download the latest and install it.
Once you have itunes (which generally also installs quicktime on windows machines, which is ok) -- when you click on the itunes button on this cs105 podcast web page, it will launch itunes and check for changes in the podcast list and allow you to download one or more (depending on your settings, it can do this automatically.)
Anyway, once the podcast is downloaded, you can select it (the podcast list is right under 'library' in itunes-6 and later), and play it inside itunes, or sync it to your ipod and listen. (Or view for an mp4 with itunes or video ipod.)
If you have another podcasting application, you'll have to cut and
paste the .rss file name listed above by hand.
(For Linux users, you should use the rss file in your browser, and
download mp3's and mp4's to your machine and use the playback program
of your choice play.)
